A long time ago in a galaxy far far away...wait wrong story. Okay so somehow Jenny decided to find her way to me in San Diego, CA after 30 years. Though it took a long time to find one another, once we met and talked, we both knew it was made to be. We complement each other so well, where I am such an organized and militaristic man, Jenny is a free and happy spirit. Somehow, our two magnets just clicked and we have not been able to part.
People often ask me when I first knew I was in love with Jenny. I always think about our adventures across Arizona or California, but I really think it boils down to one night, one conversation when we first met. I thought I would be smooth and ask her a trick question. I asked her, "If there are three apples and you take two, how many apples do you have?" She replied, "One." I took the chance to show my wits and said, "No you have two. See you took two, you have two!" She thought about this for a minute then stated, "I would have three." I looked at her and said, "No babe, you would have two. How would you have three if you only took two?" She looked back at me and stated very matter of factly, "I would steal the third one too." At that moment, I knew she was the one. Her smile and light heartedness lifts me to places I have never seen. Her lust for life and free spirit of adventure, not caring if it is a snowstorm or 110 degrees out, makes her the one person I cannot live without.
Many nights we have stayed up talking and talking about absolutely nothing, but it has meant something big. Our communication has always been there and when we had to pick our honeymoon destination we decided, we could take a trip around Europe and see all the sites with the tourists, or we could just do what we really love in life, sit on a beach with just each other enjoying our time together. Saint Lucia it was.
We both want to say how much we appreciate your time and effort with helping us. Regardless if you know it or not you have influenced each of our lives in some way and brought us together. Whether by purpose or just passing of knowledge you have made the meeting of two souls meant to be together a possibility. In a world where love is considered a punch line, you have made it a reality for us. We cannot express how honored we are to know you, and how thankful we are for any help you can provide in the start of our lives together. Again, Thank You!

On one of our crazy adventures together around California, we found a beautiful spot in the Sequoia National Forrest. When we first saw it, we both knew it was the place that we would get married and even talked about it in jest before I ever asked her for the honor. It is a place that holds such a special place in our hearts and we are so happy to be able to have it there on June 4th, 2011. |
Over the last 5 months we have been back and forth with the location to be able to have the wedding there at all. Due to their limitations, it was unfortunate to have a limit of the people that we could invite. We are planning a small reception near the location directly after the wedding.
So being us, we decided to have a BIG party/reception back in our beloved home town of San Diego, CA for everyone after we get back from our honeymoon! It will be at Mission Bay (no surprise there since we both love the beach) on June 18th, 2011. We will have good old BBQ and fun in the sun. We will also have pictures from the wedding, honeymoon and great dancing during sunset. We will end the night with a wonderful bonfire!
Tecolote Shores North is located just south of the Hilton Hotel in East Mission Bay.

For those of you who are wondering where we are going and what this is for, we have picked a wonderful romantic little spot overlooking the sunsets of the west side of Saint Lucia, in the Caribbean. The resort we are staying at is called the Regency La Toc. It is a Sandals all-inclusive resort. We have planned on leaving 2 days after wedding and staying for 8 nights and 9 days on the island. The plane ride is 24 hours, but I think we can deal with that for a slice of paradise!
Honeymoon was AMAZING. Will post pics soon :-)

We thought a lot about what we should register for. Since we have been living together for some time and both of us came into the relationship with a lot of cookware, video games, oh and towels, we decided that we did not need to go around Macy's shooting a gun at plates that will more than likely sit in a cupboard. We choose not to make everyone pay shipping & handling or hassle with traffic malls and gift-wrapping either. Instead, we ask that you would help contribute to our honeymoon to allow us to start our life out together without having 14 credit cards maxed out. We know that times are tough, so anything that you can do to help us is more appreciated than you can imagine! Thank you.

The honeymoon was even more beautiful than we ever imagined it could be! If you are still wandering what to get us since the honeymoon is over, you can still give trip contributions to help us pay down the debt we accumulated via the website or any other form. Thank ya'll all again for your love and suppot. we couldnt have done it without you. HOpe to see you on the 18th to help us celabrate!
