As many of you know, we met at one of the most unlikely places to have a sucessful realationship - work. Ryan had been working at the CU for 2 1/2 years before Joelle started there. It began as a simple friendship, though both of us will tell you that the only one had the hots for the other way before we got together! But then one day, it just clicked. We went out on our first official date on September 29, 2006 and the rest, as they say, is history. We fell in love almost immediately! Moved in together May 2007 and have been happy ever since. The engagment happened at our most favorite spot - our apartment. Ryan had been off for the day from work and surprised Joelle with a sidewalk full of roses, a roaring fire, another dozen long stem roses, and (yes!!) some smooth R&B playing in the background (only Hogan!!) We are excited about continuing our love for years to come and growing old together.
We will be married in the morning of Saturday, May 23rd. The wedding will be officiated by the mother-of-the-bride (to add that extra personal touch). It will be a small wedding, with only our closest family and friends on the list. We are looking forward to having a special ceremony and having a BLAST at the reception!
We do have friends and family that are traveling out to California to be with us on our special day and can't tell you how honored we are that you would be doing that for us. We are hoping to make it a fun weekend for everyone that is coming out! It should be nice and sunny out here for the wedding so make sure to bring your bathing suits, shorts, and sandles for a long weekend in the sun! We are so glad to have so many wonderful and supportive people in our lives and cannot wait to celebrate this moment with you all! We are so thrilled that you will all be apart of this with us. We already have a beautiful home and life together and this is only the next part of our journey. We have decided to not register the traditional way.
